Honey is a non-placeable item used to craft food such as Cooked Lobsters, Cakes, Perpetual Stews, and Luxury Meals.

Obtaining

Honey can only be gathered by a Beekeeper at a beehive along with Raw Beeswax. The player cannot gather honey themselves.

Usage

Honey cannot be used by itself; it is classified as a food item but has no nutritional value and cannot be assigned to colonists.

Cooking

A Cook can create food using honey at a Stove. Because honey can be unlocked relatively early in a colony and a beekeeper can produce decent quantities of it easily, honey can be used as an early means to increase happiness.
